La Liga Round 33 Preview: Alaves Face Fight To Get Back Into Top Four Race Against Valladolid

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid need three points away at Eibar while Getafe host Sevilla in top four fight

There is plenty to keep your eye on in the 33rd round of action in Spain’s La Liga this coming weekend. This Friday night (19 April) Alaves host Valladolid trying to get back into the battle for a place in the top four, while the following day Atletico Madrid must win at Eibar if they are to keep the title race alive. And on Sunday afternoon, Getafe host Sevilla in a straight shoot-out for fourth place.

First things first

Before you go any further, head on over to the Oddsshark website, find your favourite betting site and get your own account up and running using your credit card. As a new customer and with the La Liga campaign now in its final stretch, there should be a wide range of promotions and special offers available to you.

Where should I be investing my money?

First up, let’s start with the clash between Alaves and Valladolid on the Friday night. Alaves have lost three of their last four outings and have slipped down to eighth in the table – they are now all the way out at 151.00 to finish the season in the top four.

Valladolid, by way of comparison, are also struggling and are without a win in their last four. Sitting third from the bottom, the club is priced at just 1.72 to be relegated come the end of the season.

And while the betting is tight, it is Alaves who come in as the favourites to claim three vital points. You can more than double your money by backing the home side to win at 2.20, while Valladolid are out at 3.60 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 3.10, according to Oddsshark.

And we think that home advantage could be a decisive factor in this fixture. A narrow, 1-0 win for Alaves is priced at 6.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$30 pay out, while you can more than triple your money by backing a combo bet of an Alaves win, coupled with a “No” to both teams scoring, at 3.40.

Atletico must win on the road at Eibar

The following day, Eibar host Atletico Madrid with the visitors needing all three points in their title chase. Eibar have won just one of their last five league contests but are sat comfortably in 13th place, safe from the threat of relegation.

Atletico, meanwhile, are still trying to push Barcelona all the way although they are now nine points behind with just six games left to play. As a result, Atletico are now all the way out at 201.00 to win their first league crown in half a decade.

Again, the betting is close but it is Atletico who come in as the slight favourites to take the points. You can more than double your money by backing Atletico to win at 2.40 while Eibar, despite home advantage, are out at 3.20 to do the same – a draw comes in just under at 3.10.

This should be a comfortable afternoon’s work for Atletico. A 2-0 win for the away side is priced competitively at 11.00, thereby offering more than a ten-fold return on any investment, while you can almost quadruple your money by backing a combo bet of an Atletico win, coupled with a “No” to both teams scoring, at 3.75.

Getafe meet Sevilla in huge clash

And finally, Getafe host Sevilla on Sunday in a match that could have massive consequences in the battle for the top four. Getafe sit fifth but their recent form has hit a snag with the side winning just one of their last five league outings – they are now out at 5.50 to finish in the top four.

Sevilla, in stark contrast, have hit form at just the right time. They have on their last three league games in a row and now sit fourth – they are priced at just 1.50 to stay there until the end of the season.

This is yet another match where the odds are tight, but it is Sevilla who come in as the slight favourites to collect three hugely valuable points. You can more than double your money by backing the visitors to win at 2.30, while Getafe are out at 3.10 to do the same – a draw would appear to be the least likely outcome and is priced accordingly at 3.40.

And we are expecting Sevilla to snatch it. A 2-1 win for the visitors comes in at 9.50, while you can more than double your money by backing over 2.5 goals in the game at 2.10.
