Lesotho Coach Senong: We Lost To A ‘Very Good’ Team

Lesotho head coach Thabo Senong hailed the quality of the Super Eagles after the Crocodiles went down to a 4-2 defeat against the visitors in their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash at Setsoto Stadium, Maseru on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.

The hosts who failed to score a goal in their previous two outings against the Super Eagles, opened scoring through Nkoto Masoabi in the 11th minute.

Alex Iwobi restored parity for Nigeria in the 28th minute after he was teed up by Osimhen, while Samuel Chukuweze gave Nigeria the lead for the first time in the game in the 34th minute nodding home Victor Osimhen’s cross.

Osimhen then added two more goals in 75th and 84th minutes respectively.

Chidozie Awaziem’s own goal a minute from time made the scoreline 4-2.

“For me, i don’t have much to say about our defeat to Nigeria, i think to come back from 1-0 down to win is not that easy,” Senong told reporters after the game.

“I will say we played against a very good team today.”

True talk coach. This is what I just said yesterday while someone started comparing this Eagles to 94 class.

It is so funny though. How do we compare Lesotho to Nigeria? Is like comparing primary school students to those in higher institutions.

We have the players and what is stopping us from building a solid team is what I don’t understand. May be corruption I think.

When I’m pointing out the truth, they say I hate coach Rohr. Black people, this is quite interesting ooo lol.

Whether good or bad, we have no choice then to support coach Rohr abi? I’m sorry that is not for me. That is why we are where we are today as a Country. Sai baba, sai Buhari.

People are crying out there every day but comes in the next election, same result same idea. Jagaban 2023 ba?

You guys have bn brainwashed by our system and for me to take you out of the trap, it’s required God’s interventions lol.

I will keep praying for you people. Oh well. God bless Nigeria!!!

You need to first convince yourself about what you stand for. I don’t seem to believe your intentions anymore. I read your comment some minutes into the match. You already wrote off the team. I have watched the game myself, just like the Benin game, the SE just played according to the strength of the opposition. You could see they could give more, and they won convincely. When last did we assert our superiority over lesser teams?
The team is still evolving. Let’s give support, criticise without prejudice and hope for the best.

When last did we assert our superiority over lesser teams?Tell Them ohh!!!!
All this odegbami party members that wouldn’t have peace of mind and body until they see Rohr is sacked.
Just some few years ago the Eagles would have drawn one of those two teams or even lost to one of them and come bck to tell all Nigerians that “there are no more minnows in Football and even omo kpomo would be like; Abi’ Na true sha.
