  • Why is nobody talking about Gift Orban of Gent……Even our local media ignore the most talked about teenage forward in Belgium at the moment…..He has taken the league by storm……he walked straight into the first eleven of Gent and has kept the more recognized strikers on the bench since he arrived…….He even scored four goals this afternoon and Complete sports don’t even talk about him??……Other countries concentrate more on their up coming talents and their media always beam the light on them…….Orban is a predator forward player whose finishing reminds me of that of Aguero in his prime……Am so excited about this young talent and I hope our football administration finds him out soon……Orban is not only for the future he is also for the present.

    • The guy has not paid for his advertisement, you know how Nigeria works now

      • God will always rewards everyone that collects money inorder to trade away the future of Nigeria and it’s youths…..They will never enjoy that cursed money.

With his current form, Orban could be a genuine GIFT for Nigerian football.
His pace and aggression reminds me of a certain Obafemi Martins, and his finishing is not too shabby either. Comfortable with both feet, and gets goals with his head as well.
Could improve in a few areas, but looks good enough to be on Peseiro’s radar, in my opinion.
Perhaps there is a good reason Orban was not included in the Flying Eagles squad to the just concluded U20 Afcon.
With Gift Orban, Ibrahim Mohammed, Ahmed Abdullahi (Orban’s team mate at Gent), and Jude Sunday, we have some good materials for our attack at the world cup.

He is not eligible for u20 team as he should be 21 before the world cup starts in may.. thks boy is the hottest property in Belgium at the moment, plays with both feet and can score free kicks yet so maht Nigerian sport website do not mention his exploit on their Page..

    • Ahmed Abdullahi is just a battering ram – raw power, less polish. I still wonder why Wisdom Ubabi was dropped. He has more elegance to his play and the finish to match.

Anyway, good luck to the boys.

  • According to Wikipedia and Transfermkt, he will be 21 in July, not May.

    You are welcome Pompei.

Score Nigeria, All Nigeria Soccer, BSN Nigeria and Own Goal are just a few Nigerian online media outlets that have ran stories with glowing tributes and Gift Obran’s exploits in recent weeks. 🙂

If pesero have to invite four strikers they should be as follow! Osimen, terem mofi, iheanacho, gift orban, i beg make una tel am! As for wings i think isaac success should take moses simon place, and dessers as fourth wing option it should as follow
Lookman, chukueze, isaac sucess and dessers.
I see samuel kalu playing for udinese nest season in seria A and i see him taking seria a by storm, that guy still remain my favorite eagles winger, i miss him, cant wait to see him back on form, on a very good day kalu is equal to any world class winger.
I hope to see adarabioyo in our diffense, akpoguma is not convincing, in absent of troost and ajayi i will prefer eighter bassey and ada, or bassey and olise nda in out central diffense, lastly pesero should kindly invite halahasan yusuf, ndidi and onyeka are not in good form. Pesero should be carefull becos they are planning to sack him, if they do i will not feel bad for him bcos him self is not in form! Nigeria should give this team to siasia and this albania champion forgot the name, they will do better than pesero.

Thumbs up Brotherman @Collins ID. Peseiro is not in form. Somebody like Fidelis Ilechukwu, Imama Amakapabo or Kennedy Boboye should manage the Super Eagles. Salisu Yusuf is not good enough.

@Cllins Id… where did you keep Chuba Akpom and Victor Boniface? Those two guys deserve callups better than any forward other than Victor Osimhen & Moffi now.

I have seen Terem Moffi’s game and to be honest I prefer Victor Boniface to that dude, I am having the feeling a serious club in a Top 5 league will snap-up Victor Boniface soon.

Based on current form, it’s difficult to exclude these strikers:
    Osimhen, Boniface, Akpom and Orban.
With guys like these, you can confidently start any two, and bring in the other two in the second half. No rest for the opponent’s defense.
Let’s see what the squad list will be like when it is released.
