Warrington Wolves winger Tom Lineham has been ruled out of Friday’s trip to Castleford Tigers with a knee injury. The 26-year-old has been a key figure for The Wire this season, scoring eight tries, helping them to second place in the Super League standings.

Lineham sustained a knee injury in the early stages of Sunday’s 50-19 mauling of Huddersfield Giants but he managed to see the game through. Head coach Steve Price hasn’t put a time-frame on Lineham’s return but is certain he won’t be ready for Friday’s clash at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.
Price said: “Tommy won’t play this weekend. “He did really well to get through the game with the knee injury he copped early on.” Jake Mamo, who has returned to fitness after an ankle injury, looks likely to be drafted in to deputise for Lineham.
