Real Madrid are ready to play the waiting game regarding Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen and could hold out until he’s out of contract.
The Danish international is high on Zinedine Zidane’s summer shopping list, as he looks to get Los Blancos back to former glories, but Spurs will be doing all they can to get him to stay.
His current deal runs out in the summer of 2020 and from next January he will be able to negotiate a deal with a foreign club and Real are ready to wait until next year before they make their move.

Spurs chief Daniel Levy is very keen to get the 27-year-old to sign a new deal but if that is not going to happen then Spurs may well decide to cash in this summer rather than allow him to move for nothing, then Real Madrid would be forced to offer big money if they did not want to miss out.
