Super Eagles vice-captain, Ahmed Musa, has thanked the general public for the massive support he received following the death of his mother, Sarah Moses, reports Completesports.com.
The late Moses gave up the ghost at a private hospital in Abuja last week Thursday after a brief illness.
Musa received massive support from his Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr, the Nigeria Football Federation, Nigeria Professional Football League clubs, his international teammates and fans following his mother’s demise.
“On behalf of my entire family, I just want to say a big thank you to everyone for your love, thoughts and prayers during this hard time. The passing of my mum albeit unexpected, your comforting words, calls, texts, visits have been a great help to my family and I. Thank you so much!🙏🙏,” Musa tweeted on Wednesday.
The late Mrs Moses who hails from Edo State, South South Nigeria is the second wife to Musa’ s father who died when the former Leicester City winger was seven years old.
she is survived by five children, including the Super Eagles star and his four sisters.
