Nigeria’s Ezekiel Nathaniel cruised into the final of men’s 400m hurdles at the 2025 World Athletics Championships on Wednesday, reports Completesports.com.
Nathaniel stormed to victory in the second semi-final with a time of 47.47s.
The 22-year-old is the first Nigerian to make it to the final of the event at the World Championships since Henry Amike in 1987.

Qatar’s Ismail Doudai Abakar came second second with a personal best of 47.61s, while Caleb Dean of the United States of America finished third in 47.85s.
The final of the men’s 400m hurdles will hold on Friday.
Meanwhile, , Udodi Onwuzuruike has qualified for the semi-finals in the men’s 200m event.
Onwuzuruike finished second in his heat with a time of 20.27s.
