Ndah, Orlando Pirates Teammates To Hold Pre-season Camp In Spain, Germany

Nigeria international Olisa Ndah and his Orlando Pirates teammates could be flying to Germany and Spain for pre-season.

According to Soccer Laduma, Pirates are expected to begin their camp in Spain in early July, followed by Germany, before returning to South Africa in time for the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.

“It’s because of the successful tour that they had last year before the start of the season and that’s why they are going back to Spain in July. After that they will go to Germany,” a source told Soccer Laduma.

“Everything is already planned and they are looking at organising some friendly games just like they did last year. But for now, it stands that they will tour Spain and Germany.”

In the just concluded season Ndah landed the MTN 8 and the Nedbank Cup with Orlando Pirates.

Its somewhat baffling to see NFF having a player of this mould and experience like Ndah who once played at Afcon not called up for the last matches especially with his knowledge of the South African league and yet you go bring a player from unknown Tanzania league to join the fray simply because someone is trying to ‘market’ him by shoring up his national team appearances. How about other in-form players like Igho Ogbu, Jordan Torunarigha and Kevin Akpoguma for defence if you so desire a rightful addition of a defender? Eguaveon cannot feign not to know what is cooking behind here. Finidi is culpable in the selection of players too. Overall, it is sad to see a so-acclaimed and a sound NFF technical committee be deem this low and inept in its choices of players called up for a national assignment. Corruption and bad practices for mere pecuniary gains is simply the bane of our problems in Nigeria and its affecting all strata of our development including football. May God help us!

@Richy… you get sense. Eguaveon’s machinations is written all over the special preference that Taminu is getting… the guy is from Edo state and Bendel Insurance former player. Eguaveon is from Edo state and possibly an affiliate of Bendel Insurance… they are marketing the guy. Olisah Ndah rates amongst the top 5 central defenders in South Africa PSL…

Olisah Ndah, Igoh Ogbu and Balogun are defenders that should be playing for Super Eagles. Thanks
