Nigerian Breweries Screened Portugal Vs Nigeria International Friendly

Nigerian Breweries screened the high profile international friendly game between Portugal and Nigeria, during the official unveiling of Goldberg Premium Lager and Life Continental as the official beers of the Super Eagles.

The event took place on Thursday, 17 November, 2022 at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The screening of the game, which took place immediately after the press conference for the official unveiling, was part of the events lined up for the event.

Among top personalities present at the unveiling ceremony were Senior Brand Manager, Life Beer, Aishat Anaekwe; Senior Brand Manager, Goldberg, Olaoluwa Babalola; Wasiu Abiola, Cluster Media Lead, Nigerian Breweries and Head of Communications, Nigerian Football Federation, Demola Olajire.

Also at the event were Senior Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende; Portfolio Manager, Mainstream Lagers, Ita Bassey; Chairman Lagos State Sports Commission, Sola Aiyepekun; former Nigeria internationals Mutiu Adepoju, Julius Aghahowa and Ifeanyi Udeze.

Popular Nollywood stars like Mary Igwe, Destiny Etiko, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, Iyabo Ojo were also present at the event.

And journalists from different medias were also present to graze the occasion.

And after the first half of the game which saw Portugal leading 2-0, the trio of Adepoju, Aghahowa and Udeze anchored by veteran journalist Mitchel Obi, analysed how the Super Eagles fared.

The Portuguese, who will take part in this year’s Qatar World Cup, went on to score two more goals in the second half to end the encounter 4-0.

Anaekwe, Senior Brand Manager, Life Continental lager beer expressed her delight about the partnership with the Nigeria Football Federation.

“With this partnership we hope to continue celebrating the true Nigerian spirit fuelled by our shared values of brotherhood, culture and progress.”
