Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kun Khalifat on Tuesday, 3 August 2026, unveiled the club’s technical crew and management staff ahead of the kick-off of the 2026/2027 top-flight campaign, Completesports.com reports.
Kun Khalifat Retain Uzoho, Restructure Technical Bench
Obinna Uzoho retained his position as Technical Adviser of the ‘KK Boys’, while Chinedu Okonkwo will serve as Chief Coach. Patrick Ukaegbu and Esinaulo Moses were named Assistant Coach and Trainer respectively.
Mere Michael Ozoemena was appointed Goalkeeper Trainer, while Gerald Akakem will serve as Assistant Coach II.
Management Reshuffle Ahead of New NPFL Campaign
At the management level, former General Manager Charles ‘Tigana’ Nnadi did not retain his position, with Alhaji J.O. Rabiu unveiled as the club’s new General Manager.

The position of Sporting Director, last occupied by former Nigeria international Ifeanyi Anaemena, who resigned before the end of the 2025/2026 season, has been scrapped and replaced with the role of Team Manager.

Cole Oluwayemisi was unveiled as the club’s Team Manager. Opurum Humphrey was named Club Secretary, while Opara Lawrence takes over as Assistant Kit Manager.
Esther Obinna will serve as the club’s Welfare Officer during the coming season, while Godwin Saviola retained his position as Media Officer, a role he will share with Ofodile David Chibuzor (Media Officer I).
David Innocent and Okenwa Tonika Chinemerem were unveiled as the club’s Nurses I and II respectively, while Chioma Francisca Agbasi will serve as the club’s Doctor. Victor Chibuzor was also named the club’s Chief Security Officer (CSO) for the 2026/2027 season.
Amaefule Confident of Stronger Kun Khalifat in 2026/2027
Michael Amaefule, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club, said during the unveiling ceremony at the club’s office in Owerri on Tuesday morning that the exercise marked another major step in Kun Khalifat’s pursuit of excellence.
He stated that every department of the club had been strengthened during the transfer window to ensure the realisation of the team’s objectives for the new campaign.

“We are pleased to officially unveil the club’s management and backroom staff for the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season,” the young club boss began.
“As we prepare for the new season, it is important that we strengthen every department of the club both on and off the pitch. Today’s unveiling reflects our commitment to building a stronger, more professional, and result-driven Kun Khalifat FC.”
Amaefule congratulated the newly appointed officials and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them.
“To our newly unveiled management and backroom staff, I congratulate you on this appointment. You are the engine room of this football club. Your dedication, expertise, and professionalism will be critical to achieving our objectives this season.
“Our vision for the 2026/2027 season is clear: New Season; New Vision; Same Commitment; Stronger Team.
