    Oshoala Places 16th In 2022 Women’s Ballon d’Or Award

    Super Falcons of Nigeria and Barcelona striker, Asisat Oshoala, finished in 16th place in the final 20 shortlist of the 2022 women’s Ballon d’Or award.

    Oshoala along some other Barcelona players were present at the award ceremony held in Paris, France, on Monday.

    Her Barcelona teammate Alexia Putellas emerged the winner of the women’s Ballon d’Or award for the second year running.

    Oshoala was the first African female to make the Ballon d’Or list following an impressive campaign for the Spanish women’s league champions.

    She won the Spanish Women’s Primera Division Golden Boot with 20 goals in 19 games

    Also, she won the CAF Women’s Player of the Year Award for a record five times.

      As long as Oshoala is not making any meaningful impact in Superfalcons she will find it difficult to win the Balloon. That’s the simple truth. The National team is an important platform players use to project and position for world awards

        And Benzema did that with France? Of course not but did it as a Real Madrid player. However winning depends on the coaches and captains who voted. After all when Weah won in 1995, it was due to his exploits with AC Milan and not Liberia.

      What WE are SAYING is the 16 SHE was placed is too FAR OFF…

      At least 10 should have been OKAY…

      That is when you MINUS all the “SUPER FALCONS with no IMPACT” that you mentioned…

      Funny enough, The lady that won was her team mate.

      Is there anything special she does that Oshoala can not do.

      I think they use the National team more to evaluate.

      16th is too far. she supposed to 2nd or 3rd
