Lord Amo, be careful ooo. Lest they come for you 🙂

    • The satanic people are already jubilating because someone got injured and their demigod of Saudi Arabia is coming back……This is one of the things killing the nation……The old ones don’t want to give way for the young…..A 70+ is president and is messing up and behold we are preparing another sick 70+ as president and many satanic and ignorant ones are supporting so am not surprised…….The politicians are doing it so why can’t the footballers do it too…….Am only concerned because football is the only thing that connects me to Nigeria……A nation with very vibrant and talented youths everywhere but satanic people always look for ways to keep them away from making an impact….SMH

When we say Ighalo should be allowed to compete for a jersey, some foolishly think we want to force Ighalo into the squad. A fool even described the idea of trying Ighalo as Satanic! Hahahahaha!
It is always, always a good thing to keep your options open. Now we see why!
I wish our top striker Big Vic Osimhen a speedy recovery. We need him like crazy. I also hope our other strikers can step up and start producing the way they do at their clubs, so Osimhen can have some help. He can’t do it all alone.
Rohr should select the best 3 or 4 out of all our in-form strikers, INCLUDING IGHALO, if he is willing to return. For the benefit of those slow to grasp simple English, this does not guarantee Ighalo selection. He has to earn it. We need the very best to represent us on the pitch and also on the bench, and if Ighalo demonstrates that he is one of our best, THEN WE NEED HIM.

    • JimmyBall 3 years ago

The advice you are giving to Rohr is what he will never do… a man that is so static you do not need dictionary to look up that word… Rohr is static and Rigid personified. He reminds me of Berti Voghts… those Germans with their mechanical and robotic football without the usual swagger with which we play… for how long has Sadiq Umar being scoring and doing well… yet is Ighalo he wants? He Rohr is predictable with his loyal players whether performing or not…

    • But he said he is not playing again for us. Why the pleading and begging as if he was the best thing to happen to our national team.

  • Dr Banks 3 years ago

Thanks @pompei, you’ve said it all. That is difficult for them to grasp that we need our best legs at any given time to compete favorably.

We can’t entrust up and coming strikers with such an important task at this point in the qualifying matches left. All we need is a trusted fellow like Ighalo in the absence of Osimhen to do the job for us. Iheanacho to me is inconsistent and we can now understand why Rogers do not have full trust in him after watching today’s match against Arsenal. Don’t get me wrong, on his good day Iheanacho can wreck havoc against any team in the world but often times he fails to ignite that form consistently and to me that’s a problem where the team needs result at all cost.

And Rohr should please visit Victor Moses in Russia to convince him further, we need his service so much to instill some serious competitiveness into our wingers, they haven’t been convincing enough in SE matches so far. I even see Moses playing the role of a playmaker when Iwobi is not available or tired.

Dennis. Terem, Awoniyi, Onuachu, Ejuke, Simon, Kalu etc. are good but they are yet to step up to the task I the SE colors yet, so let Moses and Ighalo come into the fray and show them how it is done.

    • Banks. So if they insist they don’t want to come, we should go and prostrate for them. We are just wasting precious time. Rohr is just getting lazier. Aghanhowa was nothing when he began to save us at the nations cup in 2000. As if ighalo was the best thing to happen to our attack. As if Moses will always be available for every match. He will begin to pick matches.

Sodiq Umar or awoniyi will do well if oshimen Is not around.

      • @ministries you don’t understand the game yet…..Ighalo initiated the whole thing and only told them to add Moses inorder to sweeten it……Moses has outrightly ruled out his coming back but Ighalo is playing the uncertainty game……Am 100 Percent sure that Moses is not returning because he has already told Rhor to trust the younger ones……Ighalo was the target at the first place and I am certain that it will backfire just as all devilish plots cooked in the secret always backfires.

  • Hope you are soon feeling well enough to be back with the boys. I really cant wait to see you back at the matches as you and the team are fantastic in my eyes! Get well soon.

Victor Osimhen, you have put the pride of Napoli/Nigeria back on the track! Get well and know that you are in the hearts of lots of fans too. Best wishes
    from your fan.

Because of these loose talks about Ighalo, Victor Moses will never show up for Nigeria ever again. In fact, Odion may not even show up as well. These two illustrious Nigerians have nothing to loose if Nigeria fails to go to the World Cup events. But Nigeria have everything to loose as they field Sodiq, who play his game in a second division and Awoniyi who was subbed off today and have not even been able to score for Nigeria in 2 games some weeks back. As well as some unholy Nigerians continue to demean, insult, and even abuse those who wants to help the Nation, Nigeria will not go nowhere in football. Now, Osimhen may not be fully recover for the match against Liberia in 9 days time. Lets the coach bring your Sodiq and all those fringe average players to prosecute the Liberia game in Morocco. Every Nigeria is a coach. What a shame !!!!!!!.

    • pompei 3 years ago

Edoman, don’t mind the shameless, cowardly, satanic fools that show undeserved, unnecessary hatred for their fellowman, making accusations up and down with no proof.
I honestly wish Ighalo would stay away. If we fail to qualify for the world cup, Ighalo no get wahala. He has achieved his career goals, and has made his money. Enough to feed the whole village of some satanic fools here.
Instead of honestly asking for the best legs, satanic fools are busy pushing their personal agenda of hatred and bias!
Bad belle is a bastard! Bad belle na bad thing!

  • If Osimhen is unavailable we have Taiwo Awoniyi who is a top striker in the German Bundesliga……If Osimhen is not available we have Terem Moffi who is top striker in the French Lig1……If Osimhen is not available we have Kelechi Iheanacho who is top striker in the English Premier league…..If Osimhen is not available we have Dennis Emmanuel who is a top striker at the English Premier league……All this strikers are under 25 and are at the peak of their physical performance but we jump them all and go for a 30+ striker who is off pace and is not playing at a top level again……..A striker who could not guild a simple volley into the net and secure a knockout stage appearance for his country 3+ years ago when he was even still playing at a top level……Tell me if what I stated is not SATANIC then how else can we qualify it?…….If the youth are not allowed to learn on the Job and bring something new to the table then how can we progress as a country?……this so called young team has qualified for the Afcon and also leading the table for the WC qualifiers,is that not fair enough…….This is the best time to blend into SE the talented stock pile of young attackers at our disposal but we chose to throw a spanner in the wheel in the name of forcing the team to learn from Ighalo…….This are young players robbing shoulders with the best world football has to offer, playing in the top5 European leagues…….Some are team mates to legends at club level while some are mentored by the best the game has to offer at club level……Is it only Ighalo that they will learn from? can’t Ighalo pass his experience across to the young players without been among the playing staff?…….This is pure Evil.

  • Hmmmm….now! We are in soup.
So! Because we want to play aganst Liberia and Cape Verde then the next thing is to leave the active super eagles players and be chasing retired players up and down abi?
Chaii! So, players like: Onuachu, Awoniyi,Sadiq, Moffi, Iheancho and dessers, Chukwueze, Ejuke even Iwobi from the wing can not break the defence of Liberia and cape Verde in the absence of Osimhen abi? Then we don’t have business playing at the world cup.
Because the so called Ighalo and Moses were there when we didn’t quality from group stage..so they are not Messi and Ronaldo. I’ll rather go and be begging Olise (goal assists in all the matches he has played for Crystal palace as a sub) than for me to be begging Moses that has made it clear that he’s not coming back. One funny fellow is even talking about consistency so! Ighalo is the one that is consistent?
    God help us o

Hoping for a full recovery, not worried about him playing football or the team right now, just about him as a person in getting better and having a full recovery, tranquility Osi, Lola from Denmark.

  • Sending out prayers that Osimhen gets well soon – I can’t afford to go games without watching him. So disappointed that this happened to him when he was having such an awesome season. Hopefully recovery time is minimal and we will see him playing again soon. Fan!

I don’t believe Ighalo is trying to bribe his way back into the SE.
The man is stupendously wealthy. He has made name also. He doesn’t need to play for Nigeria anymore. In fact, right now, I would advise him to just stay away and continue to enjoy his money and his family. No need to risk life and limb coming back to play for a bunch of thankless, fair weather fans!
It is very wrong, wicked and immoral to accuse someone of something when you have no evidence to prove your accusation.
If it’s true that Ighalo is actually guilty of bribery, then surely he will be exposed and disgraced sooner or later. He will not go scot free. But it is wrong to accuse your fellowman without proof or evidence.
Those who are accusing others of being satanic are actually the most satanic individuals here. Pot calling kettle black. Full of hatred for no reason.
I support all our strikers, but I’m sentimental about none. If it was up to me to select strikers for our next games, I will proceed this way:
Make a list of all our strikers that are doing well inside and outside Nigeria.
That list will contain names like Osimhen, Dessers, Sadiq, Awoniyi, Onuachu, Arokodare, Ikpeazu, Ugbo, Iheanacho, Kayode, Nwakaeme, Akpom, Junior Ajayi, and of course Ighalo. If you no like am, na you sabi.
Out of all these strikers, I will select the top 5 based strictly on merit. I’ll be looking at goals, assists, fitness levels, and other parameters that top strikers possess. If Ighalo is not in the top 5, then I will give him a good handshake, and tell him adios, amigo. Goodbye, my friend.
However, if he is in the top 5, all the satanic idiots in the world can’t stop me from including him in my squad! If he is in the top 5, and he is willing to play, he will be selected!!!

    • @pompeo am sorry is my choice of words offended you…..I never meant to insult anyone because it’s not part of who I am……But the state of the nation now is irritating to say the least…..The old ones are holding the nation to ransom keeping away the youth from bringing in new ideas……they use words like “we need experience”……Tell me where has experience gotten us to as a nation for 61 years now?……And please don’t deny bribery for anyone because it’s in the DNA of almost all public office holders……It comes in the form of gifts endorsements support and name it and it is smelling all over this Ighalo’s come back drama…….I love Ighalo as a brother from the same side of the country but he should give way for the youth let them fail and learn from their failure……After all Ighalo had his chance so why deprive others from having their chance……Ighalo can pass his experience down to the younger ones without forcing himself on the team…….Na by force to learn from am?…….Ighalo himself came on air to say he was threatened when he missed that chance (a simple volley) against Argentina at the WC, so why coming back for another threat?…….let others too miss theirs and receive their own threat too…….If Kanu Aghahowa and co did not step aside will it get to Ighalo’s turn?……I know how I campaigned for Ighalo to be invited when he was at Granada but he wasn’t given the chance until he was signed by Watford so why should I hate him now?……. International football is limited in numbers and we have thousands waiting on line to taste it so why deprive them…….Is not as if Ighalo will win the world cup for us because we are already close to qualifying for it even without him…….Am bitter because I am beginning to see the disgusting things that happens in NIGERIAN politics enter into football…….the old ones are recycling themselves and depriving fresh air from entering the nation…..Am bitter

@Akp my brother, all that matters to all stakeholders including us fans is a good result for the team. To become a champion at AFCON we need to unleash all our best Arsenals both young and old. Let ighalo come show us if he’s still got the MOJO

  • pompei 3 years ago

    Akp, thanks for your comment.
First of all, we all need to understand that insulting other people because they have a different football opinion should be avoided like a plague. Calling other people “satanic” was a vicious attack on their character. I see you did not like it when the same treatment was given to you. Once again, I beg, please let’s refrain from using insults and curses to push our arguments across.
Your point about Ighalo is flawed, in my opinion. Please allow me to explain.
Akp, imagine that you need brain surgery. There are some qualified surgeons you have access to in your area. Some are older with plenty of experience, and some are younger and more energetic. All of them are brilliant, capable surgeons.
Who will you chose to operate on your brain? Will you chose the older one, because he has more experience? Or will you chose the younger one, because he deserves a chance to learn and grow? Remember, this is your brain we are talking about!
If you make a choice based on the above reasons, you would be totally wrong!
The correct way to approach this is to pick THE VERY BEST SURGEON to operate on your brain. Based on their experience, knowledge, peer reviews, and whatever other parameters. You take the time to pick the best, because life no get duplicate.
The same principle applies in the selection of players for the national team. Granted, it’s not a life and death decision. But if we are ambitious and want to win trophies and go far in the world cup, we have no choice but to select the players that can MAXIMIZE OUR CHANCES of achieving these objectives. We need our best goalkeepers, best defenders, best midfielders, and best forwards.
If we fail to win the 2022 Afcon, that opportunity is lost forever. If we fail to make a solid impact at the 2022 world cup, that opportunity is also lost forever. We can’t afford to joke around with these opportunities! Just like you would not joke around with choosing a surgeon to operate on you!
If Ighalo is not interested in returning to the national team, nobody can force him. If he choses to return, but does not make the cut, he shouldn’t be able to force himself into the squad. But if he is among our best attacking talents, we will be shooting ourselves in the foot if we refuse to use him, simply because we want to give younger strikers a chance.
That would be like refusing to consult the best brain surgeon because you want to give a younger surgeon opportunity to learn and grow. With your brain? Let a younger surgeon hone his craft with animal brains. Let our younger strikers learn from friendly matches. But world cup qualifier is big business. We need to qualify for the world cup, and to do this, we need our best legs. IF IGHALO IS AMONG OUR BEST LEGS, WE NEED HIM. WE’VE GOT TO HAVE HIM. UNLESS, OF COURSE, HE IS NOT INTERESTED. THEN WE WILL HAVE TO LOOK AT OTHER OPTIONS.
I hope this explains my position to you, Akp. Cheers!
