Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish says he’s surprised that Eberechi Eze is still part of the squad battling it out in the Premier League.
Parish noted that he had given up hope of retaining Eze after Michael Olise left for Bayern Munich last summer.
Meanwhile, Eze is under contract until the summer of 2027 but has a £60m release clause that can be activated by clubs at the end of the campaign.

However, Parish, in a chat with the Daily Mail, stated that Eze and Marc Guehi may leave this summer.
‘I was really worried from a club point of view about losing Michael [Olise] and Ebbs [Eze] in the same window, and we didn’t have in Ebbs the interest that I thought we would have,’ he said.
‘I was astounded. Genuinely astounded. I mean, the guy’s just an outstanding footballer, an outstanding person.’
