  • This is bull shit. what is the Meaning of this will Nigeria ever get a full squad to prosecute Matches What Rubbish is the for Gods Sake… NA WA OOOO!!!!!!

    • when Westhoff and Keshi [duyring some period] national team was luxurious to play for with blended serious home base players with serious foreign base players .that only that time we won something last, like the nation cup, but now is no serious foreign coach or home coach that all wants to do is to call foreign base players any time they have matches. instead of them checking the history of how they won last time? NO, probably some of this NFF is taking half of the coach money, all government of Nigeria is corrupt .

I suspect a lie from Napoli FC. They don’t like their player featuring for Africa international games. My opinion…

    • tancosport 1 year ago

napoli president has made it clear. Don’t be surprise if he misses next Afcon. my kandid advise for peseiro is to look somewhere else for a striker and forget about Osimhen.

    • FRANCIS 1 year ago

It seems osimhen not even ready for his country Nigeria. When Napoli pushed you to deceive your people, and you also agree with them. It’s in called for. Nff should look into this.

    • Chibuike 1 year ago

I don’t blame Osemhen, Nigeria football association are not serious. If player get injured, you forget them. Pay them match bonuses, you say no. Buy they flight ticket, NFF can’t do it. Don’t you guys know that those guys came from poor home and you want them to die for Nigeria!

  • That guy play 90min in their last game. This is pure lie from the pit of hell. What did Napoli want to gain from this. As from last weekend all league games has been put on hold till after world cup, so what is their fair ?

Well I didn’t blame the guy too much, i blame other nigerian striker that can’t give osihmen run for His money.

Saw the game against Udinese, not sure when/where he sustained the injury. Isaac Success was the one who got injured but still played till the end.

    Next up would be Ndidi

The TRUTH is OSIHME and some of these BOYS have lost the ZEAL to PLAY for the SE since the SACK of GENERAL ROAH

HE is just using INJURY to COVER UP..

I mean if it were to be those days under GENERAL ROAH, whether it is INDIA that WE are PLAYING in a FRIENDLY by now TUESDAY latest we would gotten a FULL HOUSE

    • CHAI @MONKEY POST. Abeg make you just dey fem this General Rohr matter. Shebi Brazil for don Hire am as Thier World coach na?

Dessers has not featured for his club lately due to injury unless he has recovered,I’m sure he has otherwise won’t be considered for the friendly.

    • Sean 1 year ago

Dessers came in and hit goal pole in their last match. He’s good to go

  • Josiah 1 year ago

Osimhen should get lost if he doesn’t want to play for Nigeria again he should just retire than using Napoli as excuse for foolishness we didn’t even qualify for world cup so why is he been proud

  • That’s why Nigerian players don’t get to the level of mane and Salah these days. Playing against Portugal should be a top priority for a serious player. NFF should ask him to report so that nff doctors can assess his injury. So funny. I am still watching oshimen and his attitude. I hope he stays humble.

  • Frankie 1 year ago

Victor is just playing minds game . He is covering up with his club. And that is his club love most .
Coach Peseiro should have optional plan to do without Victor

    THE INJURY IS FAKE.
WITH THIS KIND OF ATTITUDE, TELL ME HOW OSIMHEN WILL BREAK SCORING FEAT OF RASIDI YEKINI IN SUPER EAGLE.
OBAFEMI MARTINS ALSO DID THE SAME THING WHEN HE WAS IN INTER MILAN, IF NOT HE WOULD HAVE BREAK YEKINI SCORING RECORD IN SUPER EAGLE. AT THE END OF THE DAY, HE LOST HIS VALUE.

Onuachu and Moffi can get the job done, I pray osimhen realise his foolishness asap,

It is quite easy for us to criticize these players for supposedly ignoring national team fixtures but the fact remaims that our football system as a country is a far cry from what it should be and there is no hope of improvement in sight. Put yourself in the shoes of these guys last I heard of paid allowances the Amaju Pinnick led board was still owing players match appearance bonus; most of us on this platform will not tolerate your duly earned wages been stolen from you with no help (from FIFA or the Nigerian government)…guys it hurts very much.
Secondly I don’t know what it is now but if you are injured while on international duty Oyo is your case o (this sad trend affected Chidi Odia and Dosu if my facts serve me correctly; please do correct me if am wrong). Where were the nff doctors when Ndidi claimed injury last time out and why did we not treat him. Now the question guys is if you are being sent on official assignments without being paid your due renumerations how will you take it. Please let us not raise the issue of patriotism and begin to compare our players with Samuel Eto’o and Sadio Mane- I’m not against the times they supported their nation but it does not change the fact that what is going on is a case of monkey dey work bamboo dey chop. (When France knocked us out at Round of 16 our players refused to train and the presidency had to send cash to the camp. Which was the subject of till about 2am the day to the match; I was not there with them in S.A but some news platforms carried that story and it may be a rumor or it may be fact but I chose to believe it because of the nff’s pedigree of corruption. I believe what hurts some of our stars the most is that the money is available but some people just steal it and begin to blow smoke into your eyes if na you how you go take am?
I sincerely applaud those who still respond to national team assignments they take alot of nonsense that some of us will not take.
Lastly this does not concern the article but I’d like to just mention it here it is an herculean task for foreign born players to pick Nigeria over some European heavyweights; not considering the odds of winning the world cup with a Germany or England, the structure is bad (in short badder than what you have in Europe). Most of us have no problem relocating to Europe or America but we believe that God should punish our dual nationality players who chose to play for other countries. Morning St of us will not even bet our hard earned cash on Nigeria winning the world cup in the next 8 years and you want these guys to pledge their allegiance to a sinking ship. That will take a high degree of national patriotism (big thumbs up to Carl Ikeme and a certainty that there is no hope for you in the European team (like Balogun I guess) other than these reasons I don’t see why a player with a chance to represent England or Germany or Italy will pick Nigeria. Furthermore, some of these guys came pleading to be given a look-in but our underage National team handlers dismissed them because the will likely benefit more from selecting players whose agents are willing to grease their palms (this is a supposition and a case in mind is Dele Alli and David Alaba)
In conclusion I’m am a fan of the super eagles and I am not in support of players boycotting national team assignments or using the super eagles to gain cheap publicity (like I think Eze is doing) but every story has two sides before we castigate them let’s put ourselves in their shoes; las las they are out brothers and this na our country. Like someone earlier commented I think we are feeling Rohr’s absence I guess the team saw him as a father figure. But let us hope we do come out of this. Finally Coach Oliseh made an outstanding comment (I’m not a fan of his but truth no say make we nor talk am) he said the greatest reward for being a super eagles player is the love and adoration you get from the fans; and I quite agree with him. Before you rain abuses and wish them I’ll see the story from their point of view.

We can excuse Victor if he doesn’t want to risk injury playing the likes of Ecuador, Algeria… but Portugal is a top 10 ranked country. The match is a platform to enhance his international reputation and market value. Unlike at his club Napoli, the SE wingers and midfielders are not selfish in their supply of the ball to him. It should be an opportunity for him to shine.

If it is Napoli, then questions should be asked about his future at that club, as an international career enhances a player’s market value.
Looking at other players in Napoli’s team Lozano was been playing friendlies for Mexico in September, so also Zielensky for Poland, Olivera for Uruguay and Kim Min-jae for S. Korea.

Only the two African internationals of Anguissa for Cameroon and Nigeria’s Osimhen have been avoiding friendlies. So if this is a Napoli policy it clearly only affects African players and is discriminatory. Otherwise it’s Osimhen.

    There we go again.
    Next up… Indidi.

The likes of Dessers, Moffi, Onuachu need to step up in national colors

    Missed Nations cup
    Missed Mexico
    Missed Equador
    Missed Algeria
    Now, Portugal

Moffi is already on 10 goals in 14 Matches
Onuachu, 13 goals in 14 matches.
I wish they can continue in National team.

As for Indidi, his days are numbered.

    Camp Update:….
Ekong, Iwobi, Onyemaechi, Akpoguma, Etebo, Duru, Dennis, Onuachu, Lookman, Bassey, Aribo . Are already in camp.

God Bless Iwobi and others , always among the first to arrive.

  • Victor and Napoli are fooling themselves and not Nigerians. I watched their last match and Victor showed no sign of injury. It is true that our Nff is corrupt and not getting it right but the same corrupt system exposed Victor to the world via U17 tournament. Victor should be careful so he doesn’t make mistakes he might regret in future because of Napoli. All the same, I wish him quick recovery since he claimed to be injured overnight. This should also motivate other Eagles striker’s to dethrone and replace Victor as First choice. No one player should be considered bigger than the super Eagles or Nigeria

  • Should have replaced him with Victor Boniface. Let’s see him in a grade A Friendly game.
At least one forwards are in form. Lookman and moffi are the top scorers for their clubs. Onuachu as well. With the right midfield combination and attack we might play a good game come Thursday.

We are going to treat Osimhen in Nigeria, the injury is not real but just to avoid him for playing for Nigeria. I saw him when he played against udinese and he was not injured. Even if he is injured they should bring him back to Nigeria for treatment because I will let them know that if they don’t bring him back to Nigeria, I will find a way to report to FIFA.
