Rangers booked a place in the semi-final of the President Federation Cup after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Plateau United in Abuja on Saturday.
Chiedozie Okorie scored the decisive goal on the half hour mark following an assist from goalkeeper Divine Onuorah.
Rangers will battle Kwara United for a place in the final.
Kwara United rallied to beat Akwa United 5-4 on penalties at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Both teams battled to a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
Endurance Ebedebiri gave Akwa United the lead from the spot in the 18th minute, while Emmanuel Ini doubled the advantage six minutes later.

Kwara United fought back with two goals from Wasiu Alalade before the break.
Tunde Sanni’s side converted all five spot kicks, while Akwa United scored four.
At the Bwari Stadium, Abuja, Ikorodu City defeated Wikki Tourists 1-0.
Shola Adelani fired home the winner from the penalty spot in the 55th minute.
The Oga Boys will keep a date with Abakaliki FC in the last four.
The Nigeria National League outfit marched into the semi-final after a 5-4 penalty shootout win over Nasarawa United.
The keenly contested encounter ended 1-1 in regulation.
Nasarawa United went in front through Garba Abubakar two minutes before the break, while Ezema Ifeanyi equalised for Abakaliki FC from the penalty spot in the 50th minute.
