Herve Renard has dismissed talk linking him with Lyon and says he is fully focussed on his job with the Moroccan national side.
Lyon will be on the lookout for a new coach in the summer after Bruno Genesio confirmed he will leave at the end of the season, with Renard said to be on the shortlist of candidates.
However, he remains focused on preparing for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and has moved quickly to cool the speculation. “There was a rumour that I met Gerard Houllier [the general manager of Olympique Lyon] in Marrakech.

I was training with my selection and I’ve never met him,” Renard said on Le Vestiaire de RMC. “Here, I have an Africa Cup of Nations to prepare for.
I’m focusing on that and I am an employee of the Moroccan Federation.” Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho, Patrick Vieira and Claudio Ranieri are also said to be candidates to succeed the 52-year-old Genesio in the summer.
