Rowe Targets More First-Team Exposure

Aaron Rowe says training with the Huddersfield Town first team has encouraged him to work harder than ever on his game.

The 18-year-old has impressed academy coaches this season and new boss Jan Siewert decided to include him in the traveling party for the recent training camp in Portugal.

While he has since returned to the Under-19s, Rowe says his confidence has been boosted by working with the senior players and the encouragement given to him by Mark Hudson.

The former Leyton Orient youngster was part of the side that lost 3-1 to their counterparts from Real Betis earlier this week and says his brief spell with Siewert’s squad has inspired him to improve.

“Because I’ve been on a trip with them, I think with my game and the way I play now will improve,” he told the club’s website.

“I have to improve every time I play and keep improving. “It was a wonderful experience, a learning experience to get on with the players, bond with them and spend time with them.

“I was nervous at first and then once you get going and you get the ball more, you realise this is normal football.”
