Scarlets have confirmed Scotland international scrum-half Sam Hidalgo-Clyne will leave by mutual consent this summer. Hidalgo-Clyne joined the Welsh region in May 2018 from Edinburgh and made 18 appearances before being loaned out to Harlequins.

He turned out twice for Quins after joining in March and the 25-year-old feels a permanent move away from Parc y Scarlets is “best” for his career. Hidalgo-Clyne told the club’s official website: “I have enjoyed my time at the Scarlets.
The boys are great and the fans are very passionate, but it’s best for all concerned that I continue my rugby career elsewhere.” The Scotland star is understood to be a target for French outfit Toulouse and is now free to negotiate a deal.
