After a fantastic season with Napoli, whom he led to its first Serie A title in 33 years, Victor Osimhen could leave Naples and move to the English Premier League. Osimhen has been linked with a potential move to several English clubs, most notably Manchester United and Chelsea, primarily due to his fantastic performance this season.

Overall, the form of the Nigerian striker, as well as his physical attributes and potential for further development, have all contributed to his status as one of the best young goal-scorers in the world.

Victor Osimhen: The Machine Gun of Napoli’s Exceptional Season

During his professional career, Victor Osimhen has established himself as one of the most promising young players, with a strong record of success at the club and international level.

His physical attributes, work rate, and clinical finishing have significantly contributed to his on-pitch success. Over the past years, he has been a critical player for his clubs and the Nigerian national football team.

His achievements include the FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Boot and CAF Youth Player of the Year in 2015, Lille Players of the Season 2019-20, Serie A Best Young Player 2021-22, and several Serie A Player of the Month awards. Many believe he is the best Serie A player at the moment.

Osimhen started playing football in the Ultimate Strikes Academy in Lagos, Nigeria, moving to Wolfsburg in 2017.

After two campaigns in Bundesliga, he went on a loan to Charleroi. He scored 12 goals in the Belgian Pro League, drawing attention from Lille. He moved to Ligue 1 in 2019, where only one season was enough to earn Osimhen a big move to Serie A.

His first two seasons in Italy were excellent, with the Nigerian scoring 10 and 14 goals in 2020-21 and 2021-22, respectively. But he exploded in 2022-23, leading the club to its third domestic title.

Osimhen is currently playing in the best season of his career. He scored 23 goals in Serie A, which will likely increase by the end of the campaign.

As the team’s top goalscorer, he has played a crucial role in winning the league title, the first one since 1989-90. According to Wikipedia, Victor Osimhen scored 5 goals in the Champions League, guiding the Blues to the Quarter-finals, where AC Milan eliminated them.

The Right Time to Redeem His Scoring Appeal with a Top-club Transfer

This is the perfect time for Osimhen to get the transfer. He has already written history with Napoli, helping the Italian side win its first title since the era of the legendary Maradona.

The 23-year-old striker is still young, with plenty of time to develop his game further. He has already shown a willingness to work hard and improve, and many experts believe he has the dynamic to become one of the world’s best centre-forwards in the coming years. A move to a bigger club is the perfect way of doing so.

Of course, there’s the financial aspect of the move, as Osimhen is sure to get a bigger salary in his new club. That’s what you get for helping your side win the Serie A title.

All these factors will undoubtedly impact Osimhen’s decision on which team he will choose for the future. Since the Nigerian is one of the best players in the world, only the continent’s wealthiest clubs can afford his service. Italy has plenty of rich teams, but if Osimhen moves, he will likely find a new employer elsewhere.

Victor Osimhen’s current contract expires on June 30, 2025, meaning Napoli is in no hurry to sell him. However, such a move would bring plenty of benefits, and the club is fully aware of it. Selling its best player will result in a considerable cash injection, but the club will lose its first scorer.

Osimhen’s sale could reflect the team’s performance, but if properly invested, it will undoubtedly allow the team to improve the squad in the upcoming period. But it seems that both Osimhen and Napoli are carefully weighing their options.

Which Are the Teams Interested in Signing the Nigerian Striker?

Plenty of clubs across Europe are interested in signing the Nigerian striker. These are the ones that could be Osimhen’s next destination:

1) Chelsea – The London Blues will be looking to bounce back from a catastrophic season, and Osimhen could be the perfect addition to the team. His arrival would solve the problem with the number 9, but many doubt the Nigerian would miss out on the Champions League next season.

2) Manchester United – Osimhen’s performances have caught the attention of Erik ten Hag, who considers him one of his main striker targets. He could be more than a valuable asset for the Red Devils, especially with his physical attributes. However, The Express claims the club has other priorities.

3) Bayern Munich – The German giant has openly admitted its interest in signing Osimhen. The team didn’t recover from Lewandowski’s departure, but Napoli’s striker could solve Bayern’s problems. However, despite the quality, Bundesliga is hardly a step forward compared to Serie A, which could discourage the Nigerian star from moving to Bavaria.

4) Arsenal – Osimhen came close to joining the Gunners in 2017 before his move to Wolfsburg. However, Arsene Wenger had plenty of strikers at his disposal, so the Nigerian went to Germany. If he transfers to Arsenal, he’ll become one of the leaders of Arteta’s team. However, we don’t believe Osimhen will end up at Emirates Stadium, although we never say never.

5) PSG – Leo Messi is leaving at the end of the season, and Osimhen could become Mbappe’s new teammate this summer. What a duo that would be! But moving to Ligue 1 would be a worthy challenge for the players, although PSG could pay virtually any price Napoli sets. Financially, moving to Paris is a great deal, but nothing more.

  • Nigerian’s let us stop overhyping Victor too much until the end of the season as far as I am concerned the Napoli team taking gears off the pedal because they have won the league is very bad. Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan is right of Osimhen’s heals for Capocannoniere ( Top Scorer in Seria A) and if he loses the award to Martinez well Martinez will be the most sort after player from Seria A. So Osimhen needs to show Clutch time focus like GOATS do. i.e. CR7, Lebron James and Lionel Messi.. Even Haaland look at him he is making sure he bangs goals in right until the fat lady sings

    • Nigerians are not the one hyping osimhen my dear friend…… Nigerians did not make osimhen the highest African goal scorer in the SeriaA……. Nigerians did not make osimhen win the scuddeto for a supposedly scuddeto cursed Napoli after 33years and many trials using WORLD CLASS players…….Nigerian did not make osimhen to be in contention for the Capocannieri and the only African that will have won it if he does win it……Nigerians did not make osimhen score goals that looked impossible from normal Geometrical angles…… Nigerians did not make osimhen break Ronaldo’s record for the highest leap to score a header….. Nigerians did not make osimhen carry Napoli to the UCL quarter final the first time in their history…..Why blaming Nigerians…….It’s the Italian media and most European media outlets that are hyping osimhen not Nigerians……In my opinion the white people don’t just hype any random black player if the player in not special…….Like I said at the beginning of the season…… osimhen succeeds under pressure and hype…… osimhen wants the attention to be on him…… Osimhen loves his name been chanted by the fans…… osimhen derives his energy from that hype……I told you guys that once Napoli can put all their scuddeto burden on Osimhen’s shoulders then they will win it…… Osimhen is always the first to ginger the stadium for cheers when the fans are getting quiet…… Osimhen goes cold when all the attention is not on him and we all saw it happen in wolveburge in Germany…… Osimhen is a very rare kind of Nigerian player with a very large heart and a big character…… please study osimhen well before writing about him.

      • @Akp my dear friend me and you see eye to eye concerning alot of things from a footballing perspective including the ability of Osimhen firstly need i not Remind you that nobody i repeat nobody on this platform has backed Osimhen as much as me righ5 back from only god knows.

In Wolfsburg case Osimhen was getting his early days of Fine tuning after his rugged Nigeria academy days. Like I clearly stated a while back alot of our best exports have to go through this faze when fresh out of Nigeria including our talent bed the Under 17 youth national team

SO NO wolfsburg is not a goof example. But let me point out to you Osimhen nature which he has to Dust off is complacency when he feels he has achieved or Has no competition left for eg a place in the First team. And Napoli winninf scudetto. What I am pointing out for Osimhen best interest not to get complacent again like last season when his place was not under threat as his only competition was Patangni. So as is the case with wining the scudetto and when he was still about 8 goals clear of Martinez.

He knows what he has to do. But again nobody @Akp on this platform has believed or back Osimhen’s potential like I have. Let us pull yp threads dating bck to 2019

        • No one @Akp including you. Dont forget my X factor narritives when you all thought i was talking out of my Yansh
