Nigeria’s Flying Eagles suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Burkina Faso in the final of the WAFU B U-20 championship on Sunday, completesports.com reports.
Burkina Faso have now secured the sole qualification to the 2027 U-20 African Cup of Nations in Ghana.
The U-20 AFCON will also serve as qualifiers for the 2027 U-20 World Cup which will be co-hosted by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

It was a dominant performance by Burkina Faso who took control of the final from the opening whistle, scoring three goals within the first 15 minutes.
Every effort by the Flying Eagles to stage a comeback was futile as Burkina Faso added a fourth with Abdul Maikaba’s side getting a consolation goal.
Both teams had met in their final group match which Burkina Faso won 2-0.
