Watford Boss Ivic Plays Down Troost-Ekong Injuy Fears

Watford manager Vladimir Ivic has allayed fears over William Troost-Ekong’s fitness and is hopeful the defender will be fit for next Wednesday’s league clash against Blackburn Rovers, reports Completesports.com.

Troost-Ekong made his debut for the Hornets in Friday’s 1-0 away win against Derby County at the Pride Park.

The Nigeria international was replaced by Craig Cathcart in the 77th minute after picking up an injury.

“He [Troost-Ekong] felt something with his hamstring, but we changed him at the right moment and it’s not something dangerous with him, we hope he is okay,” Ivic told the club website.

Watford occupy fifth position on the table following the win.

I pray Ekong does not get injured because we need all our best legs for Next month Afcon qualifiers. If we win Sierra Leone home and away we would have qualified with games to spare which will make it easier for Rohr to try new players in players in the remaining fixtures.
I was very disappointed that we did not record a single win from our last 2 friendlies. YES I HAVE SAID IT AND I AM HERE TO DEFEND MY POSITION IF ANYONE WANTS TO TAKE ME ON.
And if Ekong performs as unconvincing as he did against Algeria, then his position in the Super Eagles will be shakey. YES I SAID IT AND I AM WAITING.

    • Hahaha, Calm down na, you do have a right to your viewpoint, right or wrong. Ekong surely need to justify his position in the SE, that is very obvious. So, do say your mind as you see it. others viewpoint is no issue, as far as it is not insulting. 🙂
