Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has tipped France as favourites to win the 2026 World Cup.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, spanning 16 host cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The draw will begin on Friday, 5th December, as many teams wait to see who they will face in the opening stages.
However, in a chat with TribalFootball, Wenger has backed France to win next summer because they have the best forward line with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Ballon D’Or winner Ousmane Dembele.

“By trying to be as objective as possible, I think France are the super favourites. Just for one reason.
“They have more world-class strikers than any other country. To have such a bench and such quality will make the difference.”
France, who boast the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Hugo Ekitike, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, Marcus Thuram and Randal Kolo Muani, are one of the top four seeds alongside England and the two countries cannot meet each other until the final.
