Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has highlighted the key factors behind the club’s impressive start in the Bundesliga this season.
Xabi Alonso’s side thrashed Heidenheim 4-1 at the BayArena on Sunday to levelled on points with defending champions Bayern Munich.
Boniface netted a brace in the game with Jonas Hofmann and Amine Adil scoring the other goals for the hosts.
Bayer Leverkusen have recorded four wins and one draw in the Bundesliga this season.

Die Werkself were truly at their best again against Heidenheim and Boniface was quick to pinpoint a number of reasons for their impressive displays.
“We have a very good team. I think the key is a mixture of our hunger for success, the joy of playing and above all, the willingness to work very hard.
That’s what makes us stand out,” he told the club’s official website.
Boniface has recorded eight goals and three assists in seven games across all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen this term.
The Nigeria international was named Player of the Month in August and also scooped Rookie of the Month prize.
He joined Bayer Leverkusen from Belgian Pro League club Union St Gilloise this summer.
