PSG chief Luis Campos has opened up on how manager Luis Enrique almost quit the club before last season’s amazing trophy haul.
The Parisians won an unprecedented Quadruple last season, which included the Champions League and Ligue 1 titles.
However, Enrique remains under contract at PSG, with his current deal running until 2027. There has been no official indication from either the club or the coach that negotiations have broken down or that an exit is being considered.

In a chat with Marca, Campos revealed how close Enrique came to walking out on the club last season.
“At the end of his first season, he told me: ‘Luis, either we improve the level of daily training, with players who are at their best, or I’m leaving’.
“He instilled this need in us. Today, when I want to sign a player we’re interested in, the first thing I tell him is: we know your qualities well, but if you don’t train every day at the highest level, you can forget about playing even a minute. And that’s the truth.”
