The home-based Super Eagles will discover their opponent in the qualifiers for the 2024 African Nations Championship on Wednesday, October 9.
The draw will be conducted at the CAF’s headquarters in Cairo Egypt.
Ahead of the finals, two rounds of qualifiers will take place on a home and away basis.
The first round of the qualifiers will be played on the weekend of 25 – 27 October and 01 – 03 November 2024.

The second round will hold between 20 – 22 December and 27 – 29 December 2024.
CAF is expected to communicate details and procedures for the draw soon.
Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania will host the tournament between 01 – 28 February 2025.
The CHAN is a biennial tournament organised by CAF exclusively featuring players from the respective national championships.

Meanwhile, Nigeria does not even have a team yet [3 weeks from the commencement of the qualifiers]. Let’s hope CAF does us a favour we do not deserve by at least drawing us bye from the 1st round.
