Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa has described Brahim Diaz as a player who has outstanding maturity and mentality.
The Spanish tactician made this known on Friday, ahead of their crucial clash with third-placed Villarreal tonight.
“I’m very happy to have him with us,” Arbeloa said.
“He’s already shown his abilities here, he showed it in the AFCON. He can give us a lot, he has great maturity and mentality.”

Recall that the 26-year-old’s extraordinary campaign, where he scored five goals, was overshadowed by his penalty miss in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations against Senegal, leading to Morocco’s defeat.
However, Diaz has reportedly recovered from the heartbreak, thanks to Morocco’s overwhelming support and Madrid’s continuous backing through his tough times.
His inclusion in the squad for the Villarreal fixture signals the coaching staff’s confidence in his readiness to return to competitive football.
