Karen McLintock hopes Dubawi Fifty will be able to contest the Ebor at York but has an alternative target in mind.
Trainer McLintock would ideally like her charge to compete in the Sky Bet Ebor but she concedes the six-year-old is unlikely to be involved in the field of 22 for the August 24 showpiece and has identified an alternative option at York.
“We’re hoping to go for the Ebor, but it’s looking unlikely we’ll get a run,” she said, as reported by Sky Sports. “I think there are 12 that have to come out ahead of us.
“I’m going to enter him for the handicap on the 21st, but I’ll have to declare for that before the confirmations happen for the Ebor. It’s a bit of a tricky one. “I’ll have to phone up and ask what I can do.”
