Eibar have completed the signing of Real Madrid full-back Alvaro Tejero on a five-year contract for a 3million euros fee. The 22-year-old impressed on loan with Segunda Division outfit Albacete last term, making 41 starts as Luis Miguel Ramis’s side just missed out on promotion to La Liga after losing in the play-offs.
Tejero was keen to leave Los Blancos in this summer transfer window, having only made five appearances for them since working his way through the youth ranks.
And, while Getafe had expressed an interest, it is Eibar who have won the race for his signature and they will hope he can now make the step up to the top flight in the same way Marc Cucurella did when he arrived from Barcelona 12 months ago.
