Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has advised his players to show more consistency in their game if they are to win the Europa League.
Ollie Watkins’ 61st-minute first strike last Thursday ensured Unai Emery’s side took a 1-0 lead back to Villa Park, putting them in a strong position to progress to the quarter-finals.
They have lost their last three games on home soil in all competitions, with their clash against Lille followed up by a league meeting against West Ham on Sunday.

In a chat with the club’s website, the Spanish tactician stated that he wanted his team to improve their consistency at Villa Park.
“We won the first match, which is very important. It is not enough, I know it isn’t. Tomorrow is very important for us in this competition.
“We must achieve consistency, how we were two weeks ago, of course we feel it is a stretch. We’re playing the second leg in the last 16, when we were here three and a half years ago it was a dream. I want to be in and fight for the position we are in now.”
