England batsman Sam billings saw his return for Kent end after just a few minutes due to a shoulder injury. The 27-year-old made his first appearance of the season for Kent on Thursday after returning from his commitments in the Indian Premier League.
Billings, who has been with Kent since the age of eight, was hurt as he attempted to make a stop in the first over against Glamorgan in Cardiff. He was treated on the field for several minutes before eventually being taken off for further assessment.
England will be hoping Billings isn’t ruled out of action for too long after naming him in their squads for the one-day international with Ireland and the Twenty20 international against Pakistan in Cardiff.
