Emmanuel Fernandez has expressed deep pride after scoring his first goal for the Super Eagles, reports Completesports.com.
Fernandez netted Nigeria’s second goal in the 2-2 draw against Jordan’s Al-Nashama in Antalya, Turkey on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old expertly controlled Bright Osayi-Samuel’s cross in the 41st minute and drilled a left-footed finish into the back of the net.

It was the defender’s second appearance for the the three-time African champions.
The Peterborough United star made his debut for the Super Eagles in the 2-1 win over Iran’s Team Melli last week Friday.
Fernandez took to the social media to celebrate the goal, describing the achievement as a “great experience.”
“Honoured and grateful to play for Nigeria. First start, first goal. Enjoyable experience,” he wrote on X.
