Warri Wolves Head Coach, Hassan Abdalla, has posited that the Seasiders have no reason to worry just yet following the team’s slow start to the 2026/2027 EuroMatch–NPFL season, Completesports.com reports.
Warri Wolves are without a point after two rounds of games, following a 2-1 defeat away to Bendel Insurance of Benin on the opening day of the season. On Wednesday, 16 September, the Hassan Abdalla men fell 2-0 to Rivers United inside the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Omagwa, near Port Harcourt, in a rescheduled fixture.
Abdallah: No Cause For Alarm
The Seasiders still have a game in hand against Enugu Rangers, following the Coal City Flying Antelopes’ involvement in the 2026/2027 CAF Champions League. The match, a Matchday 2 fixture, will be decided at Warri Wolves’ home ground in Ozoro, Delta State.

With fraying nerves among the club’s hordes of supporters, Coach Abdalla told Completesports.com on Thursday afternoon that there is no cause for alarm.
“No doubt we’ve lost our first two games of the season, but that isn’t enough for anyone to begin to press the panic button,” Abdalla said on Thursday afternoon.
Team is Getting Better — Coach Reassures
“The important thing is that the team is getting better by the day. The two games we played were all away from home. Maybe, if and when we play our outstanding (home) match of the season, Warri Wolves won’t be turned deep down the table.
“The season is still far too young and I believe it would be better for us than last season.”
Warri Wolves will welcome Kwara United this weekend in a Matchday 4 fixture at Ozoro, Delta State.
