Enyimba technical coach Emmanuel Deutsch has moved to calm nerves, declaring that his players are in high spirits and fully confident of securing maximum points against Inter Lagos in Sunday’s crucial Nigeria Professional Football League encounter.
The Peoples Elephant head into the fixture eager to return to winning ways following back-to-back away setbacks against Niger Tornadoes and Doma United.

Speaking on the team’s current standing, Deutsch in a chat with Completesports.com, insisted that there is no cause for panic despite the recent results on the road.
“There is no fire on the mountain. We played two away matches and I thought the team would at least pick a point from those games, but unfortunately, we failed in our quest,” Deutsch said.
“Our home game against Inter Lagos must be a victory for the home fans and supporters of Abia. The spirit in camp is high, and we are not going to underestimate Inter Lagos despite their position in the league table. What is more important is that we are prepared to pick the three points.”

“I want to appeal to the fans to come out in their usual colours to support Enyimba. I want them to fill up every space in the stadium,” he added.
