Solution FC, a Nigeria National League (NNL) side owned and funded by the Anambra State Government, will not feature in the 2026 NEROS/Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) Cup and, by extension, the 2026 President Federation Cup, Completesports.com reports.
The development follows the club’s failure to complete registration for the 2026 Anambra State Federation Cup, a situation that has sparked concern among football stakeholders across the state.
Solution FC Fail To Complete ANSFA Cup Registration
In the 2025 edition, Solution FC reached the final of the NEROS/ANSFA Cup but lost to Edel FC, another Nigeria National League club owned by a private investor.

However, checks by Completesports.com revealed that NNL side’s name is missing from the final list of over 10 teams that successfully completed registration formalities for the prestigious tournament organised by the Anambra State Football Association.
Club’s Absence Raises Questions Among Stakeholders
There has been no official explanation from the club, as efforts to reach members of Solution Football Club’s management proved unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
Similarly, the ANSFA declined to offer clarification, leaving fans and sports analysts to speculate about the reasons behind the omission of the state-owned side.
Federation Cup Registration Deadline
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had fixed 15 January 2026 as the registration deadline, with the entry fee pegged at ₦200,000.
The Federation Cup registration process was strictly tied to this deadline, with clubs that failed to comply automatically excluded from the competition.
Despite being state-funded, Solution FC may have encountered administrative delays or funding challenges that prevented timely completion of the registration process.

Solution FC Focused On NNL Campaign?
The club is competing in the Nigeria National League, where they currently occupy seventh position in Conference B.
The league is presently on break and is scheduled to resume on 14 February 2026, raising speculation that the club may have prioritised league commitments over the state cup competition.
Solution FC Absence Sparks Calls For Transparency
Football followers and stakeholders have urged the club’s management and the ANSFA to provide clarity on the situation, warning that the absence of a state-owned club from such a competition could negatively impact football development in Anambra State.
As the 2026 Federation Cup approaches, Solution FC’s exclusion from the registration list remains unexplained, with stakeholders across the state awaiting an official statement to clarify the club’s position and future participation in state football activities.
