Former Liverpool striker Danny Murphy has described the duo of Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres as the biggest flops in the Premier League.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool spend big on strikers in the summer. Arsenal paid £55m to bring in Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP, whereas Liverpool signed Alexander Isak from Newcastle for a huge fee of £125m.
Gyokeres has scored five goals in 21 Premier League games, whereas Isak has managed just two goals in 10 games, amid some injury struggles this season.
In a chat with BestBettingSites.co.uk, Murphy believes that both sets of fans have been “let down” by the two striker signings.

“I wouldn’t say he’s (Gyokeres) been a disaster – he’s done okay – but I think Arsenal fans expected a lot more.
“I think there’s probably disappointment behind Gyokeres for Arsenal in terms of the expectation that was there for him to be the missing piece.
“Well, Isak, for obvious reasons,” Murphy said when questioned on who hadn’t impressed.
“I know he had a slow start and then the injury, but if you take away the injury… When you’re spending that type of money, as Liverpool fans know, you want them to hit the ground running; you don’t want to be patient.”
“‘Let down’ is the wrong word. I’d say they feel disappointed in what they’ve been given back.”
