Cristiano Ronaldo’s ex-girlfriend Gemma Atkinson has opened up on how she was paid lots of money to tarnish the image of the Portuguese international.
The British media personality and footballer, both 41, set tongues wagging when they stepped out together nearly two decades ago during his time at Manchester United. But they ended things in October 2007.
Speaking in an interview on Manchester’s Key 103 radio, she made it clear she turned down the offer because she had nothing bad to say.

“When we did split up, I got offered so much money to speak about him and I didn’t want that.”
She added, “And I didn’t want that because there was nothing negative about him, so I don’t see any reason to tell bad things about him.”
Over the years, both Gemma Atkinson and Cristiano Ronaldo built new lives. Gemma is now married to professional dancer Gorka Marquez.
Ronaldo is engaged to Georgina Rodríguez, whom he met in 2016 when she was working as a sales assistant in a Gucci store in Madrid. The couple share daughters Alana and Bella, and twins Eva Maria and Mateo (born via surrogacy). They also had a son, Angel, who tragically passed away shortly after birth. Ronaldo has an older son, Cristiano Jr, from a previous relationship.
