Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has disclosed that he has officially declared himself a resident of the United Arab Emirates amid the ongoing conflict involving the USA, Israel, and Iran.
The move follows a traumatic event on December 29, 2025, when Joshua survived a fatal car crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Nigeria. The accident claimed the lives of two of his closest team members, personal trainer Latif “Latz” Ayodele and strength coach Sina Ghami.
According to Mail Sport, paperwork filed on Friday for his £150 million business empire revealed the upcoming relocation, which is legally required to state the country he lives in.

Dubai’s absence of income tax makes it particularly attractive to high-net-worth individuals seeking to reduce their fiscal burden.
Had he remained in Britain, Joshua would have faced UK tax obligations on dividend payments of £10.1million in 2024 and £6.3million the previous year.
He joins a growing list of high-profile figures who have relocated to Dubai, including former boxing champion Amir Khan and Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan.
