Former Nigerian forward, Nwankwo Kanu has reiterated that the Super Eagles are in good position to lift the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Kanu stated this after Nigeria won all their Group stages matches to qualify to the knockout stages of the tournament.
Recall that the Super Eagles defeated Egypt 1-0, Sudan 3-1 before overcoming Guinea-Bissau 2-0 on Wednesday.
Reacting, the Atlanta Olympic gold medalist, in a tweet via his Twitter handle after the game, wrote: “KAN U believe it? The #afcon group stage is over. Nigeria with the clean sheet.
“Well done super eagles. Thank you everyone for supporting. We are bringing this cup home, Trophy Believe.”
The three-time AFCON champions will be awaiting their next round of 16 opponents after the end of the Group matches today.

Why would Kanu be making a statement like this… he knows how difficult Afcon can be let them not pressure the boys ahead of themselves please … We are are taking it one game at a time abeg!
We need to Calm down take it game after game and stop this boastful talks. Knockout is just one life so let’s focus more on work and stop this Boastfulness else the players will be complacent. Not saying we should talk down the team as well, we should just be focused and stop unnecessary boasting.
So literally if we eventually lift this cup, means we navigate 7matches unbeaten, that would be awesome and who said it’s not possible?
