Former Germany striker Jurgen Klinsmann has predicted that Argentina will win the FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year.
Argentina are in Group C in the 2022 World Cup and will face Saudi Arabia, Poland and Mexico, while Brazil are in Group G alongside Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will start in November, later this year.
Speaking to Premier (via SPORT), Klinsmann said: “Argentina should have won a couple more cups since 1990. Maybe that will happen this year.
“Why not? I would like it to happen, especially for Leo. May he win this time as a Christmas present.”
Asked to name a favourite country to win the World Cup, he added: “To be honest, I think that to analyse a team as a favourite, you have to look at how the qualifiers were. And today, Argentina and Brazil are candidates above the Europeans.”

Other contenders are Germany,France and Portugal.
Write off England and Spain at your peril. I think these two countries can win it if they get their acts together.

Apparently,Brazil,Argentina,Germany,France,Uruguay England and Spain are past winners any one of this nations are potential winners though I have my doubts of Uruguay chances but Portugal have great players in top European clubs I fancy there chances too.
Well it’s a competition I won’t be surprised a country outside the listed emerges champions,it’s less likely but not impossible.
Meanwhile,a team from Africa may get to the later stages we can’t rule that out.My bet is Senegal,the north African teams only have strength in Africa,they can’t win against the weakest Asian teams.Ghana is a team with surprises I won’t be surprised they are shown the door after the group games,neither will I be should they prove everyone wrong by making history.
At least one thing is certain,it’s a tournament that won’t leave me heartbroken since my country known for breaking our hearts won’t be participating.Should I say thank God to that?Ha..I will enjoy the tournament,my support will only go to England because of obvious reasons but will not be heartbroken should they exit the tournament.
