Ligue 1: Simon Ends Goals Drought As Nantes Beat Angers Away, Claim First Win In Three Months

Moses Simon ended his goal drought by getting among the goals, as Nantes beat Angers 3-1 away in Sunday’s Ligue 1 fixture, Completesports.com reports.

It was Nantes first win since a 2-0 away win against Lorient back in November 2020.

For Simon, the last time he scored was in a 1-1 draw at home to Dijon last December.

Simon gave Nantes the best start after opening the scoring just four minutes into the game.

Nantes doubled their lead just three minutes later after they were awarded a penalty which Imran Louza converted.

Thomas Mangani pulled a goal back for Angers from the penalty spot but Kader Bamba sealed the win for Nantes with four minutes left.

The win saw Nantes stay 18th on 22 points in the 20-team league table.

  • First win in 3 months, yikes! No wonder your in the relegation zone. Hope this win improves your standing. Nice for simon to score again. Injuries has plagued both you and kalu this season but your in deeper waters than he is. Only your second season and your in a relegation battle. Hope you and your team finds a way out of it. Super Eagles need players in top leagues and division. All the best
