Turkish Women’s Cup: Oparanozie Blasts NFF Over Super Falcons Exclusion

Desire Oparanozie has slammed the Nigeria Football Federation following her exclusion from the Super Falcons squad that will feature at the Turkish Women’s Cup, which begins on Monday.

On Thursday the NFF released a 23-man list for the tournament, with Oparanozie a shock exclusion.

However, the trio of Onome Ebi, Chinwendu Ihezuo and Francesca Ortega who are all clueless, were invited for the tournament.

Commenting on Oparanozie’s exclusion NFF’s Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, in a recent interview with BBC, said it had nothing to do with the role she played in the protest in at the 2019 World Cup in France.

“Oparanozie is still part of the team’s plans, and her non-inclusion has nothing to do with that protest in France because she was not the only one involved.

“Selection of players is predominantly the prerogative of the coaches and not the NFF.

“She remains an important member of the women’s national side. I think she will just have to keep working on her game and, if she gets the opportunity, then push for consistent selection.”

But reacting to what Olajide said,  Oparanozie wrote on her Twitter handle: “Work on my game and push for consistent selection. Those ones who’s been without a club for over a year now, how many of their games did they work on over the past one year to merit their inclusion? When we’re spoilt for choice. Look for another lie.”

That is Nigerians for you Oparanozie. I know this is very hard to be swallowed but you shouldn’t have reacted this way. No need to pointed out other players in the team that has no clubs.

I’m afraid now because NFF have disorganized the team. From now on, I don’t expect Falcons to win something because there’s no unity among the players.

Same thing with Super Eagles. The return of Akpeyi and Ighalo may disorganized the unity among the players because they will feel like the coaches doesn’t believe in them.

Olajire, NFF and the rest are liars and likewise on this forum too. Majority of us are deceiving Nigerians but why?

We should be real and stop lying among ourselves. Even if we qualify to Afcon tournament, is there any hope of doing well in the tournament?

We know the capacity of the coaches and it will be a huge risk and mistake to raise our hope of winning the next tournament in Cameroon when we have the likes of Algeria and Senegal while the technicality deficiencies of both gaffers were the reasons Algeria knocked out Nigeria in the last edition.

Still, they will come here and lie and continue lying to Nigerians as if we don’t know nothing about football. Chai, who does that.

We don’t like the truth in this country. This is exactly what I’m doing and I will continue telling Nigerians the truth no matter what.

I don’t joke with Super Eagles and Super Falcons. I cherish both teams a lot.

However, NFF have no where to hide this time around including Oga Rohr fans. I know you all and if Super Eagles failed to fly from now on Kai, fingers crossed.

You people don’t see what I’m seeing. The challenges on both teams are getting closer every day and NFF are there watching.

The current players of the Super Falcons
are getting older while we have young players available for selections and the new gaffers can’t make a risk by taking new set of players with the mixture of experienced players to the tournament?

While Oga Rohr refused to develop Super Eagles beyond this level but instead he keep recycling and you people wanted we patriotic Nigerians to keep quiet?

Ah, Nigerians wake up. Please wake Nigerians. NFF are there enriching their pockets and making it looks like they are serving their father land.

Mr. Amaju Pinnick and his company, your days are numbered.

Nigeria belongs to all of us whether rich or poor, we are all Nigerians we must be treated the same way period.

God will fight for you Desire and we patriotic Nigerians are behind you.

However, solution to this problem is simple. Love is what is missing among ourselves. Then restructuring. We need to educate ourselves in so many ways in this country.

We are running out of ideas because we believe we are too smart and wise, no doubt we are but we should be humble ourselves a little bit. Other African countries are moving forward very quickly while Nigerians still believe we are the giant of Africa.

Giant of of Africa without freedom while our rulers/leaders are taking us for granted like this? It’s okay Oparanozie. Oh well, the truth is bitter. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • This coven called NFF.Sincerely I do not know if NFF is a coven of intellectuals or of witches. The decision to exclude Oparanozie no matter their reason is peculiar to them after a fall out with anybody in their sphere. And such behaviour can never bring out the best in our national teams. For crying out loud she was the captain of the team and she was just playing her role to fight for the good of her colleagues. Why punishing her for asking for what duly belongs to them? This is unacceptable period. If her omission was a mere coinccidence, then it’s happening too frequent and should be avoided.
Her reaction by calling names may not have been necessary but she is human, afterall, they were part of the team she fought for.Let our sport federations stop being vindictive,so that we can make meaningful progress.

This Nff Management team is the worst thing that could happen to Nigerian Football. When was the last time Nigeria qualified for any Tournament, name it U-17, U-20, Olympics Men/Women teams? The rate of Curruption, ethnic bigotry in the Management is very alarming. This is the Root of Super Eagle’s problem since 2002 World cup and we are introducing to the super falcons. I predict from this moment the fall of Nigeria dominance from African Women Football
