Former Nigerian international Obafemi Martins believes Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has the potential to play in any top Premier League club.
Martins stated this after the Atalanta star was crowned the African Player of the Year on Monday by CAF.
Martins, who lauded Lookman’s consistency for both club and country, told Livescore that the Super Eagles star is capable of excelling at Arsenal, Man United, and Liverpool.

“He’s one of my favourite players as well. My favourite striker, because every time I watch him, I just think about me and the way I used to play, but he’s probably better with the techniques and everything. He knows how to score goals as well, so I’m very happy for him, and I think he can do better.
The way he plays, he can play in the top teams in the Premier League, like Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United. I don’t know about Chelsea,” the former Newcastle United striker said in an interview with Livescore.

For Martins to say this then Lookman is Special. I’ve never seen Obagoal rate someone higher than himself, which is right because he Martins was a very terrific forward with speed and transition in attack. Obafemi is a player that I wished had lasted more. I missed Obafemi Martins and I don’t believe he has been replaced because that speed and tenacity he creates has not been seen again. Osimhen is trying in this regard but they’re different players.
