Argentine legend, Hugo Gatti has urged Lionel Messi to quit Barcelona and join rivals, Real Madrid to prove he is better than Ronaldo.
With the comparison between Messi and Ronaldo raging on for years, the 75-year-old claimed Messi should join Real Madrid if he is truly the greatest footballer of all time.
Messi has continued to show that there is no stopping anytime soon as he continues to put out awesome performances. He scored twice and bagged two assists in Barca’s win against Real Valladolid as Ronaldo on his own part scored the winning goal for Juventus after converting a controversial penalty kick.
According to Gatti, that still may not be enough for Messi.
Speaking to El Chiringuito TV, he said: “It seems as if I am anti-Argentine, but until Messi plays in the big games, he will continue to be a player of home games.
“He has to have balls to go to Real Madrid and prove everything there like Cristiano. Otherwise, he will be just one more [player].
“Cristiano went to the best club in the world. Messi plays at home, on his pitch with everything [that comes with that].
“Let him play in the Champions League and the World Cup, otherwise he will always be one more.
“When he plays there, he will fight with [Johan] Cruyff, [Diego] Maradona and Pele.
Messi has helped his side (Barcelona) climb to the top of La Liga table scoring five goals in his last four matches despite being held down by injury early this season.

As senseless as his point maybe… Messi needs to prove he can adapt in other teams apart from barca (na barca d juju dey ni) ronaldo has played at Lisbon, man utd, Madrid and now juventus) is record as Portugal player even outsmart messi as Argentine player. He might be more gifted but in terms of variable results ronaldo is better.
Playing in a single club your whole career is not as simple a task as people imagine. Remaining with one club and playing with different players and under different coaches and still remain motivated is itself an asset not many possess. Moving around the different leagues on the world proves nothing especially if it done for financial and other none football reasons. If moving clubs is a criterion for determining greatness then Anelka could be one of the greatest if not the greatest as he was well travelled. Much like claiming that you are only a good husband if you have been married to more than one wife or vice versa.
So winning the LA liga and all Spanish affairs et champions league elusive of world cup and South America cup of nation is incomparable to ronaldo’s ( Portuguese league winner, EPL, Italian series A, LA liga and Euro 2015) let him prove to the world he can adapt to other team rather than barca if he is good. He can’t win it with Argentina array of stars which shows there is something missing about him.
