Morocco and Mali have qualified for the round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The host thrashed Zambia 3-0 in their final Group A game on Monday night. Ayoub El Kaabi opened the scoring for Morocco in the ninth minute, before Brahim Diaz doubled the advantage in the 27th.
El Kaabi netted the third goal in the 50th minute to complete the scoring.

With this victory, Morocco now tops Group A with seven points, following a 2–0 win over Comoros and a 1–1 draw with Mali.
In the other game of the group, Comoros and Mali played a goalless draw, leaving Comoros on two points and Zambia as well on two points.
Both bottom sides have crashed out, as Morocco and Mali advanced to the knockout stages as winners and runners-up from Group A.
