Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle has said he is the right man to lead the the three-time African champions, reports Completesports.com.
The Malian also posited that the team’s result will prove him right at the end of the day.
Chelle, who was appointed new head coach of the Super Eagles last week was unveiled on Monday by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The 47-year-old’s appointment was greeted with widespread resistance and criticism by Nigerian fans and pundits.
“Already, there are a lot of people who say that I don’t have much experience. But ultimately, I do have experience. I ended my career in 2014, and I’ve been coaching since that year,” he declared in an interview with matinlibre.com.

“I coached a team, let’s say, from West Africa (Mali) not long ago. I coached a team in Algeria, the Mouloudia Club d’Oran.
So, I’m starting to get to know African football well. Today, I feel ready to lead this great team with great players. So, I’m part of the progression process; the players will help me progress, and I will help them progress too. Because I have a vision of football that will really fit well with this team.”
Chelle also said he is ready for the pressure attached with coaching one of the biggest national teams in the world.
“We play football; it’s normal that there is pressure. It’s normal that there is criticism. Today, I will work; I have certainties; I have my game plan in mind, and I will quickly put it in place,” he added.
“Now, my results and the team’s results will speak for me. So, we can say what we want, but, at the time we speak, the coach of the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, his name is Eric Chelle.”

Don’t stress yourself because your critics are mediocre who are not making any sense.
The appointment of Austin Eguavon and his coaching crew was absolutely in order because everything changed for good as soon as they were put in place.
That’s why we stood firmly behind them.
It’s very surprising that the NFF decided to switch to another coach, may be they discovered something very positive.
So far the NFF having discovered something very positive and decided to dismissed Austin Eguavon and his coaching crew.
This new coach’s contract is till October, after then we will check the percentage of His performance, if he scores 70% above irrespective of him being sadled with this task of savaging the already drowning Eagles in ocean of WC qualification. He would be the ideal man for the job. The guy should develop thick skin and face his vision because a lot of those indigenous coaches will want him to fail. I hope he doesn’t fail although he is not the best man for the job.

The coach should be supported by all rather than doubting his ability to deliver. The country did not go down for now wining a tournament with the coaches since independence. Welcome Coach Chelle.
