Nigeria will host the 2028 ECOWAS Meeting of Experts and Ministers in Charge of Youth and Sports.
This was announced in a statement by the National Sports Commission (NSC) on their X handle on Sunday.
“The hosting rights were unanimously awarded to Nigeria at the conclusion of the ECOWAS Meeting of Ministers in Dakar, Senegal,” NSC stated.
“Representing NSC Chairman @ShehuDikko , Barr. Musa Amadu, Special Adviser, alongside the Chairman’s Technical Assistants, Barr. Uche and Lanre Ogunjobi, formally presented Nigeria’s bid, which received the unanimous support of ECOWAS member states.
“Hosting the 2028 meeting further strengthens Nigeria’s role in regional sports diplomacy and provides another opportunity to work with ECOWAS member states in advancing youth development, sports cooperation and regional integration across West Africa.”
