Olanrewaju Yemi says he is honoured to take up his new role as Enyimba head coach, reports Completesports.com.
Olanrewaju managed the People’s Elephant in interim capacity towards the end of last season following the departure of Finidi George.
The young tactician was confirmed as substantive head coach of the two-time African champions on Tuesday.
The former Golden Eaglets assistant coach put pen to paper on a one-year contract.

The 32-year-old stated that he is determined to make a big impact at the club.
“I’m honored to take on this new role and grateful to the club’s chairman, Kanu Nwankwo, for the trust he has placed in me,” Yema said. “We’ve built a strong foundation, and I’m excited to lead the team to even greater heights,” he told the club’s official website.
Having lost a number of key players at the end of last season, Olanrewaju has been tasked with the responsibility of rebuilding the squad.
The gaffer said he is focused on integrating the new players.
“We have good players and made some excellent signings. We are focused on integrating them quickly and efficiently. Nobody will listen to excuses; they only want results, and they want them as soon as possible,” he added.
