Aluma Unsure of Future Despite Guiding The Seasiders to Promotion
Napoleon Aluma, Head Coach of Warri Wolves, has revealed that he will become a free agent after Saturday’s 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 overall winners’ match against Wikki Tourists at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State, Completesports.com reports.
Aluma disclosed that this is the fourth generation of players he has led to promotion and admitted he is uncertain about what the future holds after the final game.
My Contract Ends After the Final – Aluma
The youthful tactician made the revelation while responding to a question about strengthening the Seasiders’ squad ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, which kicks off on 22 August.
“First, I must say that my contract ends with the match on Saturday. So, by Sunday, I’m a free agent,” Aluma responded with a broad smile, visibly pleased after guiding Warri Wolves to promotion despite losing their opening Super 8 playoff match 1-0 to Osun United.

Aluma added: “But we’ve pencilled down a number of players for recruitment during the season. If it pleases the team’s owners, fine, I’ll continue from where I stopped.
“But if not, whoever comes in can build upon what we’re leaving at the moment.”
Wolves, Wikki Clash For NNL Crown
Warri Wolves will face Wikki Tourists of Bauchi on Saturday in the final game to decide the overall champions of the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League.
