Flamingos midfielder Muinat Rotimi hopes to emerge as one of football’s top stars in future, Completesports.com reports.
Muinat is part of the Flamingos side that are currently competing at the ongoing 2024 National Sports Festival in Ogun State.
Bankole Olowookere’s side are part of the Independent Junior Athletes, IJA, team.
The youngster played a crucial role in the team’s qualification for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup which will be hosted by Morocco later in the year.
The Flamingos defeated South Africa and Algeria in the qualifiers.

Muinat is expected to be named in the Flamingos’ squad for the World Cup barring any unforeseen circumstances.
The talented midfielder however has a big target for the future.
Asked about her future ambition, she responded :”I am on the road to making that come to reality. Consistency is the key”.
The Flamingos will face a herculean task at the World Cup where they will be hoping to make history as the first African country to lift the title.
Muinat believed that the task is achievable.
“This is football, all things are possible,” she responded.
