‘Osimhen Is Strong And Fast’ —Milan Defender Tomori Admits

AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has admitted that Victor Osimhen is a strong and fast striker following Sunday’s top of the table clash at Napoli on Sunday.

Tomori, alongside his defensive partner Pierre Kalulu, had their hands full containing tireless Osimhen.

Milan eventually triumphed thanks to an Olivier Giroud second half strike which took the Rossoneri to the top on the log.

But speaking after the hard fought tie, Tomori confessed that Osimhen is a strong striker to contain.

“Osimhen is a really strong striker and fast too, Napoli are a strong side,” the former Chelsea defender said in a video published on Milan’s Twitter handle.

“Pierre Kalulu (defensive partner) and myself, the whole defence and the whole team, we played a great game.

“We are happy but we still have 10 games to go and we have to play like we played today (Sunday) and raise the bar too.”

Following Napoli’s defeat they remain third on 57 points, three points behind leaders Milan.

This osimehin good but very overated…he should be calming down….garagara too much,he had no skill as a top 9. Truth! Ball na by sense not necessarily power. He still got age on his side, needs to improve. If not…big clubs go japa from him. Anyone who attacks me,ubanshi

you have said it all, he needs to add skill to his game and goal sense

I have watched most of his games for Napoli and Lille…he can easily be caged by a good defenders..

Imagine playing against a team that has offensive play…he wont be able to perform because he would be caged.

He should add skills and take up chances as it comes….

Everytime we want to win but we have forgotten there is what is called off days in football. In those days, no matter what skill you employ, you don’t score. Mbappe hasn’t been able to score for sometime doesn’t mean he isn’t good neither is Lewandoski, the polish.

Mutum,I strongly believe that you have never touched a soccer ball to talk of kicking it.I have to let you know that Osimhen is a real gem when it comes to soccer and you don’t know more than the white coaches that are going after him for contract, therefore, keep your mouth shot if you don’t have anything to write.Again, scoring 22 goals in 51 appearances is never a joke..Bro Osimhen, all I want to tell you is that ”Better is not good enough the best is yet to come” ride on.

  • This osimhen’s thread is slow. Who slow it down? Or is it because he’s been top9?

I haven been following him right from his u17 days all through lille and then now at Napoli. One thing with Osimhen and why he is any coach delight is that besides being agile, his reflexes are sharp and when that is antenna-ted to his flying headers as he wont to score. I watched his game yesterday and he really have the Milan defense something to remember.

I saw the game yesterday.. And i also think oshimeen should add skill to his game.. He was heavily marked yesterday and given few chances with the ball.. I will also blame Napoli midfielders.. Oshimen was in deadly positions to score but their pass to him was so poor that I felt his frustrations.. He almost got red carded due to the same frustrations.. I will advise him to leave Napoli and try EPL , those Napoli guys are really frustrating..

@ Earnest ogamba…no be mouth,go and ask in the streets of Jos who I be back in d days. We only want the best from him, that’s why we want improvements from him. The guy is good but not as we dey hype am. I repeat,no be by power or shots,u must add skill and sense and better positioning.

    • God less you Ololo. Napoli midfielders are main enemy of Osimhen.
I thought I was the only one noticing this until the coach himself talked about it last month
The best thing for Osimhen to leave Napoli and join EPL or Real Madrid.
Imagine Osimhen having the kind of support Ronaldo and Messi are receiving from their midfielders.

Majority of goals in Napoli’s captain record this season is from the penalty that were created by Osimhen.

  • Osimhen, Osimhen, It is really not his fault I watched a bit of that game yesterday. Yes he can make movements but a lot of the time when he is in the right position the ball is not passed to him Insigne is a terrible person towards Osimhen it is not fair. From now on Osimhen should take penalties he creates. The boy has created 5 of Insigne’s goals penalties had he been allowed to take them he would be on double figures now. Also those penalties may have given him more confidence in those particular games and he may have hit another goal in those respective games. Yesterday Insigne and Politano were exposed Osimhen was clean through and insigne chose to go wide. it is so Unfortunate

The owner put the price tag of Osimhen at $100m. I am a fan of Osimhen, but he is way less than $100m, he is not even in double figures in scoring in the league. The highest he scored is still in lille in which he scored 11 goals in which the season ended prematurely. If he dont pass 11 goals in serie a this season, he is overpriced. Awoniyi has the highest so far in the bundesliga, the top 4 league with 10 goals and he cost less than 10m. Osimhen is fast, athletic and hungry, but he needs to work on his finishing and his 1v1. I watched the game against barcelona in the europa league when the team got booed off. Many times he was ahead of the squad about to score and just kept on missing, shooting in a rush and giving away turnovers like 3 times in a row. He just doesn’t show up for big games and the team napoli as a whole doesn’t show up too. They had a chance to go top of the table and just settled for a draw against cagliari. He didn’t show up for inter milan game, but he tied the game against cagliari. At most he scores to tie games not to finish it. So this result was not a surprise, they dont do well against top teams in serie a, stats show. You cant be champions if you cant beat the top teams. They lost to inter and now ac milan.

Osemhen need to learn skills. Leg over, he has everything but lack ball joggling. Skillful rugged defenders will pocket him specially in world Cup where you will face different type of defenders.
